Policies & Procedures
Our policies and procedures at Haven Preschool and Day care assist our staff and parents to make good decisions that optimize health, safety and wellbeing to ensure we meet our duty of care obligations. Our Haven Policies & Procedures can be viewed by parents and carers at our centers, please let us know if you would like to arrange a time.
Reviews
We review selected policies every month, and every policy gets reviewed at least once per year. Like most things Haven, we believe in partnership and keep an open door for our parents and their suggestions at review time. Many of our policy improvements have come from parent discussion.
Practice
Let’s face it, many policies get written, filed and do little but collect dust for the remainder of their time. Not at Haven! Fire drills, lock down procedures and emergency evacuations are actually fun to practice which is exactly what we do. Through repetition our children learn to be brisk without risk in serious situations and ensure we all remain on our toes.
